Virtual sessions are available to you wherever you are in Florida, from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Coverage

Insurance

I am in-network with the following insurance plans through Alma:

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Carelon Behavioral Health
  • Optum/United Healthcare

If you have one of these plans, your sessions may be covered at your in-network rate. Please note that insurance is accepted for virtual sessions only.

To verify your benefits before our first session, I recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking the following:

  • Do I have mental health or behavioral health benefits?
  • What is my copay or coinsurance for outpatient therapy?
  • Do I have a deductible, and has it been met?
  • Do I need a referral or prior authorization?
Not in-network?

You May Still Have Out-of-Network Benefits

If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your out-of-network (OON) benefits to get reimbursed for a portion of your session costs.

Here is how it works:

  1. You pay my full session fee at the time of service
  2. I provide you with a superbill, a detailed receipt that includes all the information your insurance company needs
  3. You submit the superbill to your insurance company
  4. Your insurance reimburses you directly, typically a percentage of the allowed amount for out-of-network services

To find out if you have OON benefits, call your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Superbills are available upon request. Many clients are surprised by how much their insurance will cover even when their provider is out of network.

Another option

Private Pay

Many clients choose to pay out of pocket rather than use insurance. There are a few reasons this might make sense for you:

  • You want more privacy (insurance claims become part of your medical record and may require a diagnosis)
  • You want more flexibility in how we work together, including session length and frequency
  • You value the ability to focus entirely on your goals without insurance limitations on what can be addressed or how long treatment can last

If you have questions about whether private pay or insurance is the right fit for you, we can talk through it during your free consultation.

Your rights

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give clients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges before services begin.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including therapy sessions.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises

A Good Faith Estimate will be provided to you before services begin upon request or as required by law.

Policies

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows will be charged the full session fee of $150. Please note that this fee is not covered by insurance and will be billed directly to you regardless of your coverage.

I understand that life happens, especially with little ones or unpredictable schedules. If something comes up, please reach out as soon as possible and we will do our best to find a solution.

Still Have Questions About Fees?

I am happy to talk through the cost of therapy, your insurance benefits, or anything else before you commit to anything. That is exactly what the free consultation is for.
